UX/UI Designer
Are you an experienced UX/UI Designer with an interest in marketplaces? Do you get excited about designing the best user and brand experience? Then we’re looking for you!
Have you ever experienced how challenging it can be to quickly and reliably find a local service provider, such as a painter or accountant? To address this challenge, we founded Trustoo in 2019. Trustoo is an online platform for local entrepreneurs, where visitors can easily find the best companies. Think of a marketplace like Booking.com for hotels or a comparison platform like Tripadvisor, but for local businesses.
Trustoo offers around 250,000 local companies in more than 80 industries a platform to be easily found by their customers online. And more than 600,000 website visitors per month already know how to find us. Of course, we can’t do this alone: our team consists of around 85 driven people who make sure you’re happy to come to work every day, if only for a quick ping pong match or Friday afternoon drinks.
The position
As a UX/UI Designer, you are responsible for designing, improving, and further developing the Trustoo platform. You optimize the user experience for visitors and contribute to higher conversion, while at the same time visually strengthening and safeguarding the brand.
You’ll be part of the Demand Product Team and work closely with product managers, developers, and marketing. You are the link between design, business, and technology and have a clear influence on the roadmap.
Questions you’ll be working on daily:
What is our promise to the user and how do we make it tangible in every flow?
How do we translate complex journeys into simple, intuitive interfaces?
How do we ensure consistent design decisions across multiple countries and markets?
How do we build and maintain a design system that supports both speed and quality?
How do we ensure users immediately understand and appreciate our app?
Responsibilities
Gaining insight into the user journey and designing and optimizing flows and designs based on this
Using your expertise in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud to design pixel-perfect interfaces, prototypes, and visual assets for both the platform and marketing channels (emails and ads)
Working with product and marketing to maintain the balance between UX, brand identity, and business goals, while taking responsibility for design quality
Setting up (and contributing to) the design system, safeguarding the visual identity, and increasing consistency across all touchpoints.
What does your day look like?
You start every morning with a (virtual) stand-up with your team. What are the goals for the day? Which designs need to be delivered? Which new features are planned?
Together with the team, you determine the strategy and quarterly roadmap. You take ownership of your domain (design) and work according to your own planning. It’s a versatile role in which you research, sketch, design, prototype, and validate results. Thanks to the open culture in a relatively small company, we can iterate quickly, and you have a lot of influence on the final outcome.
On Friday afternoon, we close the week together with all colleagues. What happened this week? Which designs went live? Great! On to the weekend.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has proven experience with Figma (specifically with components, variants, and auto-layout)
Is available 32–40 hours per week (3 days per week in the office)
Has experience applying and working with design systems
Has knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop; InDesign is a plus)
Is graphically skilled in designing assets such as emails and ads (SEA, display, social)
Has experience with branding and visual identity
Understands how to balance strong UX, brand, and business goals
Is strong in design thinking and can independently design end-to-end user flows
Is open to a role where you’ll have a lot of fun and make real impactDo you feel this is for you? Contact us as soon as possible!
